As Brown Capital Group’s portfolio and operations continue to evolve, the firm is investing in the financial systems and expertise needed to support its next stage of growth. As part of that investment, Brett Luker, CPA, has joined BCG as Controller.
Brett will lead the firm’s accounting and financial reporting functions, with a focus on strengthening internal controls, improving reporting processes and delivering clear financial insights across the organization.
He comes to Brown Capital Group from Baker Tilly US, where he served in the firm’s Financial Advisory practice. Most recently, as a Senior Consultant, Brett led financial statement compilations, managed account reconciliations and regulatory reporting, reviewed work for GAAP compliance, and supervised teams responsible for complex client engagements.
Brett’s experience reflects a consistent ability to bring clarity and structure to detailed financial work. His earlier roles with Republic Airways and Eli Lilly and Company further developed his experience in cost analysis, data visualization and process improvement.

Brett earned a Master of Science in Accounting and Data Analytics from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He graduated from Hanover College with a bachelor’s degree in business and economics and is also a recipient of the Indiana CPA Society High-Grade Award.
With Brett’s addition, Brown Capital Group gains a financial leader whose experience will help create greater visibility, accountability and consistency throughout the organization.
