Brown Capital Group is excited to announce the recent expansion of our leadership team with the addition of Mr. John T. Petelik as Chief Operating Officer.
In this role, John will oversee the firm’s day to day operations, partnering closely with leadership to enhance operational efficiency, support continued growth, and strengthen execution as Brown Capital Group scales its platform and expands its multifamily portfolio.
John brings a proven track record across real estate investment, development, and operations. Most recently, John co-founded Spectra where he served as Co-Managing Partner & CFO, leading financing, deal sourcing, structuring, and operational execution.
Throughout his career, John held senior roles within investment and capital markets teams at leading real estate firms, including Invesque (TSX: IVQ), where he played a key role in the design and acquisition of more than $1.5 billion in healthcare focused real estate. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Operations at Monument, LLC, leading the financing, design, and development of over $100 million in student housing communities.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
